BIGGEST NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY IN BOISE - BASS DROP 2025 WITH BORGORE & SPACE WIZARD
Tickets for one of the biggest New Year’s Eve events in the Treasure Valley are already nearing sell-out.
Boise is closing out the year in full bass mode. Persona Productions and Rose Entertainment Boise have officially announced Bass Drop: New Year’s Eve, featuring Borgore and Space Wizard, happening December 31st at Treefort Music Hall. With a stacked lineup, massive sound, a full bar, vendors, and one of the most recognizable names in bass music headlining, this show is shaping up to be one of Boise’s biggest New Year’s Eve events in recent history.
Winter Coat Drive: Giving Back on New Year’s Eve
Bass Drop: New Year’s Eve isn’t just about music and celebration — it’s also about showing up for our community.
Alongside Borgore and Space Wizard, this year’s event will feature a Winter Coat Drive, helping support members of our local community during one of the most difficult times of the year. As temperatures drop, access to warm clothing can make a real difference, and this is an opportunity for our community to come together and give back.
The coat drive is being supported by an incredible group of local organizations and community leaders, including Boise Burners Alliance, Bloom Arts and Gems, Idaho Safety Crew, Boise Jungle Tribe, Kali Girl Art, Boise Rescue Mission, Koeber Designs, Illuminated Events, Chive Idaho & Boise Family. This effort is also backed by Persona Productions, Rose Entertainment, and Focked Media, with the shared goal of turning a night of music into something that extends beyond the dancefloor.
If you’re attending Bass Drop, consider bringing a new or gently used winter coat to donate. It’s a simple way to help make a meaningful impact while celebrating the new year together. Boise’s music community has always been about more than just shows — it’s about connection, support, and looking out for one another.
This is one more reason Bass Drop: New Year’s Eve feels special. We’re not just ringing in 2026 — we’re doing it with intention.
EXPECT A CRAZY NEW YEAR’S EVE IN BOISE
New Year’s Eve shows set the tone for the year ahead, and Bass Drop is coming in hot.
Borgore has been a staple of the global bass music scene for well over a decade, known for high-energy sets that blend dubstep, bass house, and trap with chaotic drops and massive crowd moments. Pair that with Space Wizard’s dark, cinematic sound design, and Treefort Music Hall is about to be pushed to its limits on New Year’s Eve.
This isn’t just another rave — it’s a full-on bass takeover to close out the year properly…. with some brain damage from headbanging so hard. For real, Treefort may need to bolt the rail to the floor for this one.

WHO IS BORGORE?
Borgore is one of the most recognizable names in modern bass music. Rising to prominence in the early 2010s, he helped shape dubstep’s mainstream crossover while maintaining a distinct, raw sound that keeps his live sets unpredictable and high-energy.
Known for explosive drops, genre-blending selections, and commanding stage presence, Borgore has played major festivals around the world including EDC, Ultra, Tomorrowland, and countless headline tours. His sets are built for packed rooms, loud systems, and moments people remember long after the lights come up.
Some of his most well-known tracks include Forbes (featuring G-Eazy), Unicorn Zombie Apocalypse (featuring Sikdope), Decisions (featuring Miley Cyrus), and a long list of more popular songs & remixes.
New Year’s Eve at Treefort is exactly the kind of environment Borgore thrives in.
SUPPORTING LINEUP: LOCAL FIREPOWER MEETS NATIONAL TALENT
Bass Drop doesn’t stop at the headliners. The night will also feature a strong supporting lineup, blending national and local talent:
SPACE WIZARD
Space Wizard brings a dark, cinematic approach to bass music, pairing massive low-end with atmosphere-heavy sound design that hits especially hard in a room like Treefort. Since 2016, Space Wizard has toured with Subtronics, ATLiens, Peekaboo, and many more. He also has releases on Cyclops Recordings, Subsidia, Wakaan, and more. Space Wizard brings a dark, atmospheric intensity that pairs perfectly with Borgore’s energy, guaranteeing the entire night packs a punch.
DOCTOR CHUBS b2b ESCAPE EARTH
This b2b combo is one of the most anticipated local pairings going into NYE.
I’ve covered Escape Earth once before, earlier this year at the Barely Alive show at The Shrine — a night that literally shook the room. This b2b promises heavy bass, unique sound design, and the kind of energy that builds as midnight approaches. I expect the venue to be packed by this point, so arriving early is a good move if you want to avoid long lines and settle in for the night. The entire lineup is stacked — come enjoy yourself.

DRTY
I’ve provided media coverage for DRTY multiple times over the years, and his sets always bring a level of energy that translates well in a packed room. He knows how to move a crowd and fit seamlessly into heavier lineups like this one. The last time I caught a DRTY set was at Bear Grillz 2024 (Persona Productions x Rose Entertainment Boise) last year at Treefort Hall, and he’s exactly the kind of artist you want playing for a New Year’s Eve crowd.

FLYT
FLYT is opening the night and setting the tone early. While this will be my first time covering one of his sets, I’m looking forward to capturing the energy he brings to kick things off and seeing how he warms up the room heading into a stacked New Year’s Eve lineup.
He’s also slated to appear on the upcoming The Widdler w/ Black Carl! show at the Shrine on January 9, 2026 — another heavy night that’s shaping up to be a strong one for Boise’s bass scene. It’s always exciting to see newer names continue to land solid bookings and build momentum across major lineups.

ANOTHER BIG SHOW FOR BOISE’S EDM SCENE
Boise has quietly built a reputation for turning out large crowds for bass shows and has become a favorite stop for Borgore over the years. During his last visit, he told me he would love to live here — calling Boise one of his favorite cities in America.
A New Year’s Eve party with artists like Borgore signals continued growth for the Treasure Valley’s EDM community. Consistently sold-out shows prove that Boise isn’t just a stop on the map, it’s a city that shows up. It’s very important to have media coverage of these big shows in town. This content shows the world that we do listen to bass music in the Treasure Valley. Once an artist visits for their first time, they usually come back again within a few years. The increasing attendance at EDM shows in Idaho gives venues and promoters the confidence to host major electronic acts for special events like New Year’s Eve. Boise likes to party. Boizee is noisy, but Boise…… is not a state.

SPECIAL FEATURE: DOCTOR CHUBS
Doctor Chubs (Drew Ake) has been a longtime friend of mine, and someone I’ve watched grow from the very beginning. We booked one of his first-ever shows back in 2017 at THUMP: Call of Booty, upstairs at the Knitting Factory (9th St. Parallel). Even back then, it was clear he had a unique approach and a strong creative instinct.
Over the years, I’ve seen him take his time developing his sound — experimenting, refining, and intentionally carving out what the Doctor Chubs project has become today. He understands how important it is to differentiate yourself as an artist, and his music reflects that. There’s heart behind it, creativity in the details, and a willingness to push into heavier, more unexpected territory that keeps his sets fresh and exciting.
Recently, Drew stepped into a new chapter of life — getting married and welcoming his first child. Even with those major milestones, he continues to dedicate whatever time he can to creating music and evolving as an artist. That balance, and that persistence, is something I really respect. Some of you have heard me say it before, but I believe that Doctor Chubs could be one of the next big artists to come out of Boise.
Doctor Chubs is someone I’d absolutely keep your eye on heading into 2026. I’m excited to hear what new music he shares next year, and even more excited to see what he throws down going b2b with Escape Earth on New Year’s Eve. This highly anticipated set is going to be heavy, energetic, and a lot of fun.

I’ve watched him develop tremendously as an artist, especially in the way he builds his sets. Each one feels intentional and unique, consistently featuring music I’ve never heard before — the kind of tracks that end up gaining real traction shortly after. He has a great ear, a truly distinct sound, and is one of the first artists we’ll be interviewing in 2026 as we begin rolling out Featured Artist profiles on Focked.net.

BORGORE B2B SPACE WIZARD
Just this morning, I was surprised when I was notified that there will be a Borgore b2b Space Wizard set at the end of the night. I don’t know if they have ever gone b2b before, but the combination of these two bass heads is going to blow the Boise Bassheads’ minds. I’m definitely the most excited about this set. It’ll be an amazing way to wrap up the show and kick off 2026.
